So not only did we visit the groomers today but we also got to watch Christine's nephew play soccer. It was far to exhausting to watch all the kids chasing balls, so we curled up in Grannie's and Grandpa's laps to enjoy the match.

My trip to the hospital
I ate something I shouldn't have. Christine still doesn't know what it was - but it made me very sick. I spent 3 days and 2 nights with the amazing vets at Head to Tail. I got re-hydrated and go my own IV. It was pretty scary for the family, but Ewok took care of Christine. Christine was allowed to visit me in the hospital after a day, I was so excited to see her. But it was only a short visit and then I had to go back on my IV. I had lots of xrays and they watched everything go through my digestive system. I have special food now. Ewok likes it too. She races me to the food dishes and I have to be quick, otherwise she eats my food. That's a switch! I usually got an extra snack from her dish.

Tenting
Another bucket list item checked off for us! We have been camping many, many times with Christine and her family. We have always slept in the trailer with Grannie and Grandpa. But this time we tented! Nilla was keen to explore the tent and snuggled right into Christine's sleeping bag. I was a little more tentative. I settled into my blankets by Christine's head, but kept my ears back and listening all night. I heard birds, squirrels, other dogs and many trains.
We had a lot of fun exploring Emory Creek and the banks of the Fraser River. We even got to walk down to the old Alexandra Bridge. It was hot. And there was no way we would go across the bridge. Our paws would go right through the grates. We enjoyed sitting under a tree and watching people fish in the river.
Love,
Ewok
